About AFL Britain

logo.gifAFL Britain is the new national body for Aussie Rules in Britain. Formed in 2008 as a result of a restructure of its predecessor, the British Australian Rules Football League (BARFL), its mission statement is to:

  • Promote the participation and profile of the sport of Australian Football in Britain.

  • Endeavour to promote the sport to British people, and to those living in Britain.

  • Endeavour to ensure that the national squad of Great Britain is as capable, fair, and high in profile as is possible.

To achieve these objectives it has developed several Strategic Aims, each of which contributes directly to one or more of its mission statement. For more information on these strategic aims, see the National Governing Body section listed below.

AFL Britain is an official affiliate of the Australian Football League (AFL).
