running.jpgWell, another big weekend of footy is nearly upon us, and if it's anything like the others so far this season then fans are in for a real treat!  The Southern Region leaders Sussex have got a bye, meaning the rest of the teams have the opportunity to make up some ground on the early leaders as well as giving players a chance to change the top of the goalscoring charts which are currently dominated by Swans.  The Northern Region sees Newcastle and Durham squaring up, with Middlesbrough hosting Hartlepool in the days other match.

The London Premiership sees a heavyweight clash between two of the biggest clubs around, with North London making the trip to the Wildcats hunting ground in Chiswick.  Putney travel to Wimbledon in the other Saturday match, leaving the Demons to welcome the Swans to the ‘Ground of Pain’.  After their first round mauling the Swans will be raring to bounce back and show they are serious finals contenders, with the Dees determined not to lose any ground at all to their rivals at the top.

In the London Conference the matchups are broadly the same, with the exception being Reading taking on the Magpies and aiming to get off the bottom of the ladder after a real beating at the hands of a rampant Raiders team in Round 1.  It’s the Lions who face the defending champions this week, hoping to pick up all of the points instead of sharing them as they did against the Swans.

The London Social Division sees the regions newest team Dulwich travelling to the Hawks, whilst the Lions try to hunt down the Emus and the Demons meet the Dockers.

With the weather looking like being somewhat colder and wetter than in Round 1 it remains to be seen whether teams can adapt to new conditions, but whatever the skies bring the games will go on!
