Able to send the ball vast distances, the torpedo punt is one of the more difficult kicks but a great one to have in your arsenal.  Use it to move the ball quickly from defence to attack and watch your opponents taken out of the game!

Grip the ball higher on one side than the other - right hand higher and further towards the back of the ball for right footers and reversed for lefties.  Release the ball carefully so that it drops at the same angle you were holding it - when you kick it the ball should then spin through the air and go a lot farther than normal.  This means it's really useful for those of you who have defensive kicking out responsibilities.
