The best players in the Under-16 Junior League will be chosen to represent the National Team, the England Dragonslayers, in Melbourne, Australia. The International Cup, which is happening at the same time in Melbourne, is a senior tournament which commences on 27 August and concludes on 6 September, 2008. The juniors, while in Melbourne at the same time, are competing in a different and seperate series of matches against other junior teams.

The England junior team will depart London on Saturday 23 August and fly out of Melbourne on Saturday 6 September. Highlights of the tour include:

  • Matches against Australian teams

  • Possible match against another junior international team (TBC)

  • Attending a number of AFL matches at the MCG

  • Attending the International Cup

  • Supporting the senior team, the British Bulldogs, during their matches

  • Sightseeing in Melbourne, one of the world's greatest cities!

Fundraising will commence in April 2008. There is a lot of money to be raised but it can de done.

A Fundraising and Auction night will be held at Sport England in June 2008.
